Virtuelles MGK-Kolloqium
Der wissenschaftliche Austausch zwischen den SFB-Mitgliedern und der Gruppe der Nachwuchswissenschaftler findet seit dem Start des SFB 1316 in den drei jährlichen Projekttreffen und in den vom SFB 1316 organisierten Workshops kontinuierlich statt. Es ist jedoch sehr wichtig, dass die ECR auch eine Plattform haben, um sich in einem Konferenzrahmen auszutauschen, ohne den Einfluss ihres Beraters, um die Diskussionen unter den ECR zu stimulieren. Stattdessen beschloss der SFB 1316, ein eigenes MGK-Kolloquium zu organisieren, zu dem die ECR des SFB 1316 und des SFB-TR 87 eingeladen wurden. Dieses Treffen wurde von den ECRs J. Kuhfeld und P. Preissing am 21.04.2021 in einem virtuellen Format organisiert. Prominente geladene Redner bei dieser Veranstaltung waren Prof. A. Bogaerts (Universität Antwerpen), Dr. S. Iseni (GREMI, Orléans) und Dr. T.L. Chng (LPP Paris). Neben den Präsentationen im Rahmen einer Zoom-Sitzung wurden virtuelle Postersitzungen durchgeführt, um die Interaktion zwischen den ECR zu verbessern.

Heraeus Seminar "Non thermal plasmas for sustainable chemistry"
The SFB 1316 was involved in the organization of the 785 WE Heraeus Seminar "Non thermal plasmas for sustainable chemistry" that was held in Bad Honnef 22.4.-27.4.2023. The meeting was organized by Yiguang Yu (Princeton), Tomo Nozaki (Tokyo Tech), Annemie Bogaerts (U Antwerp), and A. von Keudell (RUB, SFB 1316). The SFB 1316 contributed with two invited presentations and 6 posters. The seminar with 80 attendees provided a broad overview on the field and critical discusssions about the challenges and potential of plasma methods for sustainable chemistry.
MGK Colloquium
Internal exchange in Ulm
From 1.3. to 3.3. the MGK Colloquium meeting took place in Ulm. Besides the scientific exchange about transient atmospheric pressure plasma, an electrochemistry workshop was held at the University of Ulm. In addition, experts from other fields were invited.

Die Vorlesung "Einführung in die Plasmaphysik II" und Bachelor-, Master- und Doktoranden des Lehrstuhls EP2 und der Gruppe Plasma-Grenzflächenphysik besuchten die Firma Plasmatreat in Steinhagen bei Bielefeld. Das Unternehmen zeichnet sich durch die Herstellung von Atmosphärendruck-Plasmajets für die Polymerfunktionalisierung aus.

The company excels in the production of atmospheric pressure plasma jets for polymer functionalization.
